1. Booking & Drivers
We specialize in professional chauffeur-driven services to ensure you navigate Dar es Salaam's traffic safely and stress-free.
Yes, our drivers are experienced, punctual, and have expert local knowledge of the city's main commercial areas like the City Centre and Slipway Shopping Complex.
Travel outside the city is available; however, a standard driver allowance (typically around $20 per day) applies for trips beyond Dar es Salaam.
2. Requirements & Documentation
For chauffeur-driven rentals, you typically only need a valid ID or Passport. Unlike self-drive, you generally won't need to worry about International Driving Permits.
While you must be 18 to drive in Tanzania, most rental agencies require the person booking to be at least 21 years old.
3. Pricing & Insurance
Our rates typically include the vehicle and professional driver. Fuel and the 18% VAT are often calculated separately based on your specific route.
Yes, all our rental vehicles are comprehensively insured, which includes collision damage and theft protection as required by Tanzanian law.
Standard rentals usually include 100km per day of free mileage, with a small excess charge per kilometer thereafter.
4. Safety & Support
All our vehicles undergo regular mechanical inspections. Our chauffeurs are trained in defensive driving and carry active mobile phones for 24/7 communication with our dispatch center.
In the rare event of a mechanical issue, we provide a free replacement vehicle immediately to ensure your schedule is not interrupted.

5. Fleet & Amenities
To maintain a premium environment for all guests, we maintain a strict no-smoking policy in all our rental cars.
Yes, we can provide age-appropriate child seats upon request for a small daily fee. Please mention this at the time of booking.
6. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds
We accept major credit cards (Visa/Mastercard), bank transfers, digital platforms (PayPal, PesaPal) and local mobile money options like M-Pesa.
A security deposit is required to hold your vehicle. The remaining balance is due by your pickup date.
If you do not show up, or if you cancel less than 48 hours before your scheduled pickup time, 100% of your deposit will be retained as a fee, and the remainder will be refunded to your original payment method.
All refunds are credited back to the original method of payment. Exact processing timelines and applicable administrative fees are heavily dependent upon the chosen payment channel,
distinguishing between external payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, PesaPal) and direct payments made to Kashuka Car Rental.
7. Airport & Executive Transfers
Your chauffeur will be waiting in the arrivals hall holding a personalized sign with your name or company logo. We monitor your flight in real-time to adjust for any delays at no extra cost.

9. Long-Term & Corporate
Yes, we provide significant discounts (up to 20%) for long-term rentals of 6 months or more. Monthly rates are typically more affordable than daily hires.
Kashuka is a fully registered business, compliant with LATRA (Land Transport Regulatory Authority) standards, ensuring all vehicles have passenger liability insurance.
10. Travel Security & Logistics
Our chauffeurs are experts in local routes and safety protocols. We recommend chauffeur-driven travel for nighttime transfers between the airport and hotels in areas like Masaki or Oyster Bay.
For your convenience, we offer a "Full-to-Full" policy. The car arrives with a full tank; you simply pay for the fuel used at the end of your trip, or we can provide a flat-rate inclusive of fuel for city-wide travel.
While our primary focus is safety and transport, our chauffeurs are highly knowledgeable. They can suggest the best local spots for authentic Tanzanian cuisine or point out historical landmarks during your journey.
11. Special Requests & Flexibility
Our chauffeurs are experts in local routes and safety protocols. We recommend chauffeur-driven travel for nighttime transfers between the airport and hotels in areas like Masaki or Oyster Bay.
Our drivers are familiar with all JNIA Terminals. Just provide your flight number, and we will be at the correct exit gate regardless of terminal changes.
12. Regional Logistics & Connections
Yes. We provide timely drop-offs for the Azam Marine ferry to Zanzibar. Your driver will assist with luggage and ensure you arrive with plenty of time for boarding.
Our drivers use real-time traffic apps and their local knowledge of "panya routes" (short-cuts) to ensure you avoid the worst of the congestion on Bagamoyo Road or Nelson Mandela Road.
13. Ethics & Transparency
Tipping is entirely at your discretion. While not mandatory, if you feel your chauffeur provided exceptional service, a small tip (typically 10,000–20,000 TZS) is a kind gesture and greatly appreciated.
We value your input! After your trip, you will receive a short WhatsApp link to rate your driver. You can also leave a review on our Google Business Profile.
We have a Lost and Found policy. Every vehicle is inspected immediately after a drop-off. If you leave a phone or document behind, we will contact you immediately to arrange a free return to your hotel.
